Sandwell Aquatics Spring Long Course 2024

WHAT ANOTHER AWESOME WEEKEND OF SWIMMING! 💪🏼

It was Sandwell Aquatics Clubs long course open meet being held in the incredible Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games pool! 😎

For those not too sure on what ‘Long Course’ means…swimmers competed in a 50m length pool, instead of our typical 25m length pool, requiring more endurance and determination to keep going! 🙌🏼

We took a small but MIGHTY team to this meet, including:
ADAM H, ADAM T, ALEX, AMELIA, ANNABEL, CHLOE, HERMIONE, ISABELLA, JESS C, JESS H, KATIE, LOGAN, MAX, MIA, PAIGE, SAM, SEBASTIEN & SOPHIE!

Overall results:

29 PBS out of 74 SWIMS 🥳
10 x🥇 1 x🥈 2 x🥉

Every swimmer should be extremely proud of their performances in the water and the way they conducted themselves out of the water too. All swimmers did TASC very proud! 💙💛

*TASC GALA SUPERSTARS FOR SANDWELL LC 2024*

Please join me in congratulating our TASC Gala Superstars! These young super humans smashed every race and achieved incredible results. Even when tired they all dug in and represented Telford Aqua with the upmost competitive professionalism.

AMELIA for competing in her FIRST EVER open meet and getting a massive 6 GOLD medals out of 6 swims, all new PB’s! Amelia took home the 9 years TOP GIRL! Absolutely amazing!

SOPHIE for also competing in her FIRST EVER open meet and achieved an incredible 4 new times, whilst SMASHING her heats! We cannot wait to see what Sophie achieves next!

LOGAN for achieving a gold & silver medal in his first 200m gala swims! Logan gained 3 HUGE PB’s and 3 new times!

They were all competing at their first long course competition and all achieved provisional county times for next year!
